The requirement supports the delivery of adaptations through the Council’s Home Improvement Agency and is intended to help disabled residents and other eligible service users live safely and independently within their homes. The contract is divided into five Lots covering specialist equipment including stairlifts, domestic lifting equipment, hoisting equipment, specialist toileting equipment and specialist bathing equipment.
The precise equipment and services required under each Lot are set out in the Specification and Pricing Schedule. Associated services may include site assessment, survey, design, manufacture or sourcing, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning, user demonstration, warranty support, planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, replacement parts, emergency attendance, removal, storage, refurbishment, relocation, disposal and minor associated building, electrical, plumbing or making-good works. Tenderers may submit a Tender for one or more Lots.
Each Lot will be assessed and awarded separately in accordance with the published Conditions of Participation and Award Criteria. The Council does not guarantee any minimum level or value of work under the contract. The initial contract term will be two years, with the option for the Council to extend for up to a further two years in two separate one-year periods, subject to satisfactory performance and the Council’s ongoing requirements.
