About TenderSignal
Built to help UK businesses win public sector contracts
TenderSignal was built out of frustration. Running an integrated marketing agency, we watched talented SMEs consistently lose public sector bids, not because their work was not good enough, but because they did not know the tender existed until it was too late, or could not make sense of CPV codes, or were researching contracts from the wrong sources entirely.
Public procurement in the UK is worth over £300 billion a year. The data is all technically public: Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, Public Contracts Scotland, NHS Atamis, council portals, but it is fragmented across hundreds of systems, formatted for procurement officers, and completely hostile to the SMEs that most of that money is meant to reach. TenderSignal fixes that: we aggregate every source, translate the jargon, and deliver a personalised feed that takes two minutes to set up.
What TenderSignal does
We monitor over 480+ UK and Ireland procurement sources overnight, every night, from the national notice boards to individual buyer eProcurement portals running In-Tend, ProContract, Jaggaer, Delta and Atamis. New notices are ingested, normalised into one consistent format, deduplicated across sources, and matched against your business profile. Rather than checking a dozen portals by hand, you receive the opportunities that actually fit your business, by email, each morning. Nearly a million tenders are indexed and searchable, with new contracts added daily.
Who we help
TenderSignal is built for the businesses public spending is supposed to reach: sole traders bidding for their first government contract, established SMEs across construction, IT, healthcare, facilities, professional services and dozens of other sectors, and agencies and bid teams managing several live bids at once. A free account gives you the browser and a daily new-match email; paid plans deliver matched tenders straight to your inbox with AI relevance scoring, unlimited saved searches, competitor and pipeline intelligence, and a bid tracker.
Part of the Signal family
TenderSignal is part of a family of data-aggregation products built on a simple idea: public data, better UX, personalised. PlanningSignal monitors 380+ UK council planning portals for contractors and architects. SchoolSignal tracks Ofsted and DfE school data. NewcoHunter surfaces new Companies House registrations. Each Signal product finds the signal in noise that matters to a specific audience.
What is next
We are working on CareSignal (CQC inspection data for care staffing agencies) and GrantSignal (UK business grants, aggregated). If you are building something in the Signal family and want to talk, get in touch.
How TenderSignal is different
Plenty of services will email you a list of tenders. What sets TenderSignal apart is breadth, clarity and honesty. We aggregate the national notice boards and the buyer portals that most tools ignore, so you see opportunities that never reach Find a Tender or Contracts Finder. We translate CPV codes and procurement jargon into seventeen plain-English sectors, so you do not need to be a procurement specialist to set up a useful feed. We score matches for relevance and explain the reasoning, so you can tell at a glance which contracts are worth your time. And we are candid about coverage: no aggregator captures every notice on the internet, so we tell you which sources we monitor rather than implying we see everything.
Our commitment to coverage
Our goal is to be the single most complete source of UK and Ireland public sector opportunities. We add new sources continually, from council eProcurement portals to sector consortia and utilities, and we keep the existing ones healthy with nightly monitoring and automated data-quality checks. We also believe basic access should be free. You can search the browser and receive a daily new-match email without paying, because the businesses that most need to find public work are often the ones least able to afford another subscription before they have won anything. When you are ready for more, the paid plans add delivered alerts, AI relevance scoring, competitor and pipeline intelligence and a bid tracker.
