Where your tenders come from

Updated 2 Oct 2026

Your feed combines the national portals with 600+ buyer portals across the UK and Ireland, updated several times a day, so you search one place.

TenderSignal puts public sector tenders from many places into one feed, so you search once instead of visiting lots of websites. It covers the UK and Ireland, with optional European notices, and it is updated several times a day.

What is in your feed

Your feed combines two kinds of source:

  • The national portals. These include Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales, eTendersNI and eTenders (Ireland). Many buyers publish here, and you will recognise the names from your own searching.
  • Buyer portals. Many councils, NHS bodies, universities, housing associations and other organisations advertise on their own portals instead of, or as well as, the national ones. We check 600+ buyer portals, so those tenders reach you without you needing to find each portal yourself.

Coverage runs across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and across Ireland. European notices are optional: you can include them in your Preferences. See Ireland and EU settings.

How fresh is it?

The feed is updated several times a day.

The "Hard to find" badge

Around one in four live tenders is not on any national portal. We mark those with a Hard to find badge. Hover over it, or tap it on a phone, and it says the tender is not on Find a Tender, Contracts Finder or the other free portals.

In practice the badge tells you that the tender is one you would be unlikely to see if you only checked the national portals.

What you see on those tenders depends on your plan:

  • Free: you can read every tender. Buyer contacts on Hard to find tenders, and portal links on every tender, are part of Pro.
  • Pro and Business: you see buyer contacts on Hard to find tenders and the portal link on every tender. Buyer contacts on tenders that are also on a national portal are shown on every plan.

You can compare plans on the pricing page.

Using the feed well

  1. Use the filters on Browse tenders to narrow by region, deadline, buyer type and sector. See Search and filter live tenders.
  2. Save the searches you use most, so new matches are collected for you. See Manage your saved searches.
  3. Follow the buyers you care about most. See Follow a buyer.

Good to know

  • You submit your bid through the buyer's own procurement system. TenderSignal helps you find the tender and prioritise it.
  • If you cannot find a tender you saw elsewhere, try a different keyword, then check your region and buyer type filters, because these are the usual reason a tender is out of view.
