Follow a buyer

Updated 2 Oct 2026

Follow a buyer from its page and you are alerted whenever it publishes a new tender, whatever your other filters say.

Following a buyer means you are alerted whenever that buyer publishes a new tender. It suits the councils, trusts and universities you already work with or want to win work from. You do not need to set up keywords: one click is enough.

Follow a buyer

  1. Open the buyer's page. On a live tender, select View all next to the "Other tenders from" panel, which appears when the buyer has other live tenders. You can also browse the buyer directory at /buyers.
  2. Select Follow this buyer.
  3. The button changes to "Following, you'll be alerted".

If you are not signed in, the button reads Get alerts from this buyer. It takes you to registration, and the buyer is followed for you once you have signed in. On Free this uses your one saved search.

See who you follow

Open Saved searches from the left-hand menu. Buyers you follow are listed under Buyers you follow, above your keyword searches. Each one shows how many live tenders the buyer has now, and the note "alerted when they publish a new one". Select the buyer's name to return to its page.

Unfollow a buyer

Either select Unfollow next to the buyer under Buyers you follow, or open the buyer's page and select the "Following" button again.

Plans

Following buyers is a Pro feature. On Free, the button on the buyer's page reads Upgrade to Pro to follow this buyer and takes you to /pricing. On Free, a followed buyer uses your one saved-search slot. Pro and Business include unlimited saved searches, and a followed buyer counts alongside them.

Good to know

  • A followed buyer is tracked on its own. Your sector, region and buyer type settings do not hide its new tenders, so a council you care about will not drop out because it sits outside your usual patch. See Filter by buyer type.
  • Following is different from a keyword search. A keyword search looks across all buyers for a word. A follow looks at one buyer across everything it publishes. See Manage your saved searches.

Common questions

Can I track specific buyers or authorities?

Yes. Open the buyer's page and select Follow this buyer. You are then alerted when that buyer publishes a new tender. Following buyers is a Pro feature, and you can see everyone you follow on your Saved searches page.

Does following a buyer depend on my sector and region filters?

No. A followed buyer is tracked on its own, so you hear about its new tenders even if they sit outside your usual sectors.
