Description
The Ministry of Defence is seeking a Contractor to deliver In-Service Support (ISS) for the UK LYDIA Platform supporting equipment fleet. The Contract will be responsible for maintaining the availability, reliability and operational readiness of a range of specialist platform support equipment through the provision of spares, repairs, maintenance and technical support.
The equipment within scope includes:
- Self-Recovery Systems (SRS)
- Inflatable Multi-Platform Recovery Systems (IMPRS)
- Vacuum and Purge Systems
- Transport Trailers
- ISO Containers
- Portable Generators
- Associated equipment including regulators, hoses, lifting strops and pins
The successful Contractor will be required to provide:
- Supply and management of spare parts.
- Preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Repair and refurbishment services.
- Technical support and engineering advice.
- Safety Management.
- Configuration, documentation and obsolescence management.
- Implementation of approved modifications and capability upgrades.
- Logistics and supply chain management.
- Quality assurance and regulatory compliance activities.
The proposed Contract will comprise an initial 2-year core period, with the option for the Authority to extend the Contract by up to three additional one-year option periods (1+1+1 years), subject to performance, funding and business need.
The overall objective is to ensure that the LYDIA support equipment remains safe, compliant, available for tasking and capable of supporting operational requirements throughout the Contract period.
Procurement Route: Procurement Act – Competitive Flexible
Contract Duration: An initial 2 (two) year core period, with the option to extend the Contract by up to three additional one-year option periods. If all the options are taken by the Authority, the Contract duration will be a total of five (5) years.
