Description
Jet Training System (JTS)
As announced in the Defence Investment Plan (DIP) 2026, the Ministry of Defence (MOD) has initiated the programme to invest in a new fast Jet Training System (JTS). With the Hawk T1 (Red Arrows) out of service date (2030) rapidly approaching, the investment will include new jets for a modernised fast-jet training system which will also allow the Red Arrows to replace the ageing Hawk aircraft, inspiring young generations for decades to come, part of a new JTS, with a significant UK workshare. JTS will be designed to support the transition to 5th and 6th generation air systems, ensuring UK pilots are equipped with the skills needed for modern and future combat environments.
The JTS team has begun market engagement, and we are seeking Industry input.
