Deadline reminders
Updated 2 Oct 2026
Every tender you watch sends you closing-soon emails 7, 3 and 1 days before the deadline, and on the morning it closes if it is still open.
Watch a tender and we email you as its closing date approaches, so a deadline never catches you out. Reminders are included on every plan, for every tender on your watchlist.
When reminders are sent
For the date a tender closes for submissions, you get an email:
- 7 days before the deadline
- 3 days before
- 1 day before
- on the morning it closes, if the tender is still open
Reminders are sent once a day, in the morning. Days are counted as whole calendar days in UK time.
If a tender also has a separate deadline for questions to the buyer, you get reminders for that too: 3 days before, 1 day before and on the morning it closes, if the tender is still open.
What the email looks like
If several of your watched tenders reach a reminder point on the same morning, they arrive together in one email, most urgent first. Each tender is reminded once at each point, so you are not sent the same reminder twice. The email links straight to the tender so you can open the full notice.
Start getting reminders
- Open a tender and click Add to watchlist, or click Watch on a tender card while browsing. See Watch a tender.
- That is all. Reminders begin automatically for that tender.
To stop reminders for a tender, remove it from Watchlist.
Good to know
- Reminders are sent by email. Your calendar can add its own alert too; see Add deadlines to your calendar.
- Reminders go to your verified account email address. If you have unsubscribed from TenderSignal emails, reminders stop with the rest.
- A reminder is only sent for a tender that is still open with a deadline in the future. If a notice is cancelled or its deadline passes, no further reminders are sent for it.
- Free accounts can watch up to 3 tenders, and each one gets reminders. Pro and Business can watch as many as they like.
- Separately from reminders, everything on your watchlist is summarised in a weekly email on Tuesday mornings.
Not getting reminders?
Check that your email address is verified, that you have not unsubscribed from emails, and that the tender is on your Watchlist with a deadline still to come. Look in your spam folder too, in case reminders are landing there.
Common questions
Do Free accounts get deadline reminders?
Yes. Every plan gets closing-soon emails for the tenders on its watchlist, up to 3 on Free.
Why did I not get a reminder?
Reminders go to verified email addresses that have not unsubscribed from emails, and only for tenders that are still open with a deadline in the future.
