How seats work on a Business plan

Updated 2 Oct 2026

A Business plan is one subscription with 5, 15 or 40 seats, and every person on your team uses one seat.

A Business plan is one subscription that covers your whole bid team. You choose a size, and each person on the team, including you, uses one seat. Everyone gets their own dashboard, alerts and searches, and the team can share notes on tenders.

The three sizes

Plan Seats Price (+ VAT)
Starter Up to 5 £99 a month or £990 a year
Growth Up to 15 £199 a month or £1,990 a year
Scale Up to 40 £349 a month or £3,490 a year

Your seats match the size you pay for. If you move to a bigger size, your extra seats are there straight away; see Upgrade your plan.

Every size includes everything in Pro, plus team collaboration, the bid tracker, Pipeline Intelligence and Competitor Intelligence. Growth and Scale also include priority support. You can compare all plans on the pricing page, and the plan comparison article lists what each plan includes.

Check how many seats you are using

  1. Sign in and open Team under the Workspace group in your settings.
  2. Look at the Seats figure at the top right of the plan summary. It reads like "3 / 5 used".
  3. Your plan name appears under your team name, for example "Business Starter (5 seats)".

The Team page is built for Business plans. If you are on Free or Pro, you will see an invitation with a See Business plans button instead.

What uses a seat

  • You, as the team owner, use one seat.
  • Each colleague who has accepted an invitation uses one seat.
  • A suspended colleague still uses a seat until you remove them.

A pending invite does not use a seat until it is accepted. When every seat is in use, the invite box is hidden. Remove a colleague to make room.

Good to know

  • Only the team owner can invite, suspend or remove people and rename the team.
  • Each person keeps their own sign-in, dashboard and searches. Seats do not share a login.
  • Colleagues who join your team get Business access as part of your plan.
  • When you remove someone, they leave your team and return to the Free plan.
