Provision of Surface Dressing Chips

Tayside Contracts requires suitably experienced Suppliers to provide a reliable, responsive and cost-effective supply of Surface Dressing Chips for use on annual road maintenance and surface dressing programmes undertaken on behalf of Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council and other external clients.

Tayside Contracts requires suitably experienced Suppliers to provide a reliable, responsive and cost-effective supply of Surface Dressing Chips for use on annual road maintenance and surface dressing programmes undertaken on behalf of Angus Council, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council and other external clients.

Given the strategic importance of surface dressing operations and the limited availability of approved suppliers, Tayside Contracts proposes to establish a multi-supplier framework agreement for the supply of Surface Dressing Chips, comprising a maximum of three (3) suppliers to provide additional resilience, competition and continuity of supply before the commencement of the 2027 surface dressing season.

The supplementary framework will operate alongside the existing Roadstone Materials Framework (TC/24-25/002) and provide additional resilience, competition and security of supply for the remainder of the current framework period. Aligning the expiry date of both framework arrangements will enable Tayside Contracts to undertake a single holistic procurement exercise in 2028 based on future service requirements and market conditions.
