National Trust: New funding and finance models for community-led urban greening

This invitation to tender seeks to identify, explore and develop innovative ways to take on the challenge of funding community-led urban greening for the long term. Voluntary sector income is often short-term and uncertain, placing community organisations in increasingly precarious financial situations. We are looking for a consultant to identify and assess how third sector organisations can secure sustainable sources of funding for community-led greening. This could be existing streams that are underutilised, international models that could be trialled in the UK, or completely new approaches that Nature Towns and Cities could develop. We anticipate the contract starting in January 2027 and running for approximately 12 weeks.
