MBC Streetlighting Refurbishment Project

Maidstone Borough Council (MBC) is seeking to refurbish its streetlighting across the town centre and to implement a Central Management System (CMS) to monitor the lighting operations. It also requires a method for each lighting unit to display a coloured indication (blue) to provide for the ability to switch on a trail of lighting throughout the town to indicate a Tourist Trail of places of historic interest.

This project will include for the replacement of existing lanterns with energy efficient LED lighting and CMS. In addition to this, full refurbishment of existing columns and the replacement of columns where required due to structural defects / damage will be required.

A planned maintenance regime is required for the lanterns and replacement of luminaires, including the provision to service the lighting, columns and central management system together with statutory testing, both electrical for the lighting and wiring and structural examinations of the columns.
