Description
Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council (“the Client”) utilising the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) Framework, Lot10: Demolition, are prepared to receive bids for the Crompton Place Demolition Tender, which will be subject to the information, specification and tender package enclosed.
The works involve the demolition of the existing buildings / structures on the site and associated works to create a clear site which removes the barriers for a future redevelopment scheme, including:
- Removal of link bridges / structures from the site, and associated making good, to the former M&S Building, 33-35 Victoria Square and 56-58 Bradhsawgate.
- Retention of the former Bolton Evening News building façade on Mealhouse Lane and associated temporary works.
- Grubbing out of the basement slab and foundations to infill the existing car park and provide a level, compacted surface across the site.
- Removal of Asbestos Containing Materials.
- Erection of a new stairway on the HSBC façade.
- Creation of a new pedestrian link from Victoria Square through to Bradshawgate.
