Newark Market Place Refurbishment

Nottinghamshire County Council, on behalf of Newark and Sherwood District Council, are seeking the services of experienced contractors to act as principal contractor for the design and refurbishment of the Newark Market Place. Within their submission the contractor should provide a proposed phasing plan to accommodate the following:

1. Full access pedestrian access to the shops around the perimeter of the marketplace. 2. Logistical plan for deliveries to the shops for the duration of the project, including access for arctic lorries. 3. Logistical plan to allow for weekly bin collections for the duration of the project, including a bin storage and collection area to house 23 1100L and 24 240L bins. 4. Provision of the market for the duration of the build. 5. Fire assembly point for the shops surrounding the marketplace for the duration of the build.

The works will be awarded under a JCT Design and Build 2024.
