TC084 – Local Welfare Provision Award Fulfilment.

Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Calling off Lot 1 (Adults) TC143 – All Age Prevention Framework, sought expressions of interest to call off from the existing All Age Prevention Framework.

This programme of work, supporting the Council’s Local Welfare Provision, will operate over a 12-month period, starting 1st June 26. It will deliver a boroughwide scheme providing food support and gas and electricity top-ups for residents experiencing financial hardship. The scheme is in high demand and is a key source of support for residents facing crisis, with more than 3,500 awards distributed in the last year.

The proposed scheme will support vulnerable households across the borough by enabling timely access to essential food provision and energy credits, helping to mitigate food insecurity and fuel poverty. Delivery will be responsive, accessible, and aligned with local priorities, ensuring support reaches those most in need, including low-income households, families with children, older residents, and people with disabilities or long term health conditions.

Interested providers must be confident in their ability to deliver this programme of work, supporting the Council’s Local Welfare Provision, as described in the document.
