Treatment of Street Sweeping Waste

In pursuance of the Council’s obligations as a waste collection and disposal authority the Council intends through a competitive tender to award one or more contracts for the provision of Treatment Services for Street Sweeping Waste.

The total value of this contracts initial 24 month term is £159,211.00 (ex vat)

Lot 1 - £122,825.00 (ex vat)

Lot 2 - £36,386.00 (ex vat)

There are 1 number extensions available as follows:

•Optional extension 1 for Lot 1 value is £61,412.50 (ex vat) for 12 month term

•Optional extension 1 for Lot 2 value is £18,193.00 (ex vat) for 12 month term

The total potential contract value exclusive of vat is £238,816.50 (For Lot 1 & Lot 2, including all extension options)

The total potential contract value inclusive of vat is £286,579.80 (For Lot 1 & Lot 2, including all extension options)

Lot 1 allows for the Council to deliver the Street Sweeper waste to the treatment site of the service provider using a Council owned roll on roll off vehicle.

The Council will award the contract to the most advantageous tender considering the overall annual cost across all three sites.

There is an option under Lot 1 to include a variant bid for the Street Sweeper waste to be collected by the bidder.

Any variant bid submitted under Lot 1 will be evaluated alongside the standard Lot 1 submission, and the option that provides the lowest overall annual cost will be selected.
