Description
Buckinghamshire Council (the Contracting Authority) intends to procure a single provider to deliver integrated Waste Collection and Street Cleansing Services across the administrative area of Buckinghamshire. The services will also include waste transfer station services, materials management services and workshop services.
These services are critical to the day-to-day operation of the county and support residents, businesses, visitors and local communities. The service operates at significant scale, with approximately 627,000 waste collections undertaken each week, serving around 245,200 properties across Buckinghamshire.
The Contracting Authority is seeking a suitably experienced and capable provider that can deliver safe, resilient, efficient and high-quality services throughout the contract term, while supporting the Authority's objectives in relation to environmental performance, customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness and value for money.
The Contract includes the following services:
Household Waste Collections (residual waste, dry recyclables, garden waste and food waste) Clinical Waste and Sharps Collections Household Bulky Waste Collections Commercial Waste Collections Street Cleansing Services Waste Transfer Station Services Workshop Services Materials Management Services
