Description

SUPC is exploring the viability of a potential framework agreement. The scope of this tender is the procurement of Laundry Equipment, services, supporting infrastructure and maintenance/repair of the associated equipment. Domestic equipment and the hire of linen or linen services is not covered by this tender.

Rather than focusing solely on the purchase of equipment, the proposed framework aims to provide access to a range of complementary products and services that institutions may procure individually or in combination, depending on their operational requirements. At this stage, the proposed scope may include: commercial laundry equipment; managed laundry services and concession models; payment and digital technology platforms; maintenance and repair services; installation and commissioning; associated consultancy and technical advice; sustainability reporting and asset management support.

How to engage

SUPC are looking to conduct Pre Market Engagement (PME) to understand the supplier market, the different commercial models in use and the technologies operating in this area to make informed decisions to assess the potential viability of this framework agreement and the specification that would form the basis of any such requirements. We would like feedback to gain a better understanding of how you manage your prices, the geographical areas in which you operate, the regulatory considerations for this market as well as how you currently contract with the HE sector and what we can do to replicate or improve these processes under a framework agreement. A link to our supplier questionnaire can be found below once you’ve had a chance to review the information: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=msJVk3q_B0OItSC74Z9pghnqC7j0TRBIn-j2xytzFgtUQU4zVEk0RUZKSzBFQjI3MExUNEtCWjVHViQlQCN0PWcu We encourage suppliers to review the draft specification documents and to make track changes to these, allowing for thoughts and suggestions to be fed back to us which will help us determine the final version of the specification. Please upload these documents to the tendering system to facilitate this feedback to SUPC. Further information around the process can be found in the briefing document accessible to suppliers in the tendering system link below: https://uk.eu-supply.com/ctm/Supplier/PublicPurchase/107604/0/0?returnUrl=ctm/Supplier/PublicTenders&b=UK Change to the deadline for supplier engagement: *Please be advised that the preliminary market engagement period has been extended to 7th September 2026 at 18:00 to allow for further market engagement. Suppliers who have already submitted amended documents are not required to resubmit them. However, suppliers may revise and resubmit their documents during the extended engagement period should they wish to do so. For the avoidance of doubt, information previously submitted as part of this preliminary market engagement will not be disregarded and will continue to form part of the exercise going forward. Suppliers who have not yet engaged with this exercise remain welcome to review the documents and submit feedback via the tendering portal as well as completing the supplier questionnaire (both links detailed above) before the extended deadline.
