Description
Waterways Ireland is looking for a consultant to take care of the WFD canals monitoring programme from 2021 to 2023. This encompasses the following, at various locations along the Royal Canal, the Grand Canal and the Shannon Erne:
- sample collection and Analysis — physico-chemistry: quarterly water quality sampling events, — biology: yearly aquatic macrophyte and benthic macroinvertebrate surveys.
- classification of ecological potential,
- scientific analysis and provision of reports.
