Buildings Maintenance

Forestry and Land Scotland (The Employer) looks after the national forests and land to enhance biodiversity, support tourism, and increase access to the green spaces that will help improve Scotland’s physical and mental health and well-being. The Employer also continues to provide vital timber supplies to support a sustainable rural economy. The Employer manages a large number of buildings (including offices, stores, workshops, deer larders and visitor provisions) across Scotland and requires contractors to provide buildings maintenance and improvement works across the estate.

The Employer had a requirement to establish a Framework Agreement with external Providers to maintain its buildings to a safe and legally compliant condition as well as providing upgrades and improvements. The Framework Agreements provide a compliant route to market for the Employer to procure the works from a list of pre-approved contractors.

Limitation within the system do not allow for multiple independent framework agreement contractors (independent economic operators) to be added to this notice without selecting 'Yes' to 'The contract has been awarded to a group of economic operators' within each instance of section 'V.2.2) Information about tenders' within this notice.

Each contractor that has been awarded onto each lot of the framework agreement as stated in each instance of section 'V.2.3) Name and address of the contractor' within this notice are each an independent economic operator and have each been contracted with separately.
