What is Bidstats?
Bidstats (bidstats.uk) is a UK public sector tender search website owned by Oxygen Finance Limited. Its home page says its sources are TED (OJEU), UK Contracts Finder and the Government's Find a Tender service. You can browse tenders, award notices and prior information notices, filter by region and value, and save tenders you want to come back to.
Alongside search, Bidstats offers analysis tools: buyer and supplier reports, an expiring contracts pipeline and a procurement pipeline. According to its pricing page, more than 80,000 users use the site to find opportunities. Plans run from a free tier to an enterprise-level Insights subscription.
What Bidstats does well
Bidstats has earned its reputation, and it is worth being clear about where it is strong.
- A free tier you can use straight away. According to its pricing page, the free plan gives you 5 tender views each day, searches 3 tender portals and covers tenders published in the last 90 days.
- Award and supplier data. Its paid plans include awarded contracts with each contract's awardee and value, plus buyer and supplier analysis. If you want to study who wins what, that is a genuine strength.
- Deep history. Standard covers tenders published in the last 2 years, Pro covers 5 years and Insights covers 10 years, according to the same page.
- An expiring contracts pipeline. Paid plans include a pipeline of contracts coming to an end, which helps with forward planning.
- Enterprise options. Insights, from £5k per annum, adds frameworks data, live procurement spend data, pre-procurement leads, CRM connection through an API and decision maker contact details.
How TenderSignal approaches the same job
TenderSignal is built for suppliers who want to find live opportunities across the UK and Ireland with every live tender open to browse on the free plan. We carry the national portals (Find a Tender, Contracts Finder, Public Contracts Scotland, Sell2Wales, eTendersNI and eTenders in Ireland) and also check 600+ buyer portals directly, including councils, NHS bodies, housing associations, universities and utilities, on platforms such as In-Tend, Delta eSourcing, ProContract, Atamis and Jaggaer.
That matters because around one in four live tenders we carry is not on any national portal. Searching only the national notices leaves those out, and a buyer's own portal can be hard to find unless you know to look.
The second difference is buyer contacts. On Pro at £39 a month (plus VAT, cancel any time) you get the buyer contact name, email and phone number on each tender, so you know who to speak to before you decide to bid. Pro also includes an AI relevance score with the reasoning behind it, matches that are not on the national portals, contracts coming up for renewal in your sectors, and unlimited saved searches.
Free lets you browse and discover, with no card, and the free plan never expires: search every live tender, see award history and competitor profiles, and keep one saved search with a weekly count of new matches. Pro does the work for you, finding them every morning.

Who each product suits
Bidstats may suit you if you want a long archive of notices and awards, regular buyer and supplier analysis, or an enterprise data subscription with spend data and an API. Its free tier is a sensible way to try the site.
TenderSignal may suit you if you are an SME or a bid team that wants live opportunities from the national portals and from buyers' own portals, in one feed matched to your sectors and region. It also suits you if you want buyer contact details without an enterprise budget, a free plan with no daily view cap, or coverage that includes Ireland.
Both have a free entry point, so run the same search on each and compare results for your sector.
