Gurnos Childcare Provision - Merthyr Tydfil

Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (MTCBC) is seeking quotations from experienced childcare organisations to provide childcare in the Gurnos area of Merthyr Tydfil, to start as soon as possible. The proposal is for an organisation to take on the management and deliver Early Years childcare services from a brand-new pre-school provision located on the new Goetre Community Primary school site, Goitre Lane, Gurnos Merthyr Tydfil CF47 9BU. The new school is located on the lower site of Penydre High School. We would expect any new provider to be able to deliver all Government funded Childcare programmes for 2 and 3 year olds whilst offering a wraparound service to private fee-paying families. In light of the new Welsh Government proposals for delivery of childcare for children aged 9 months – 4 years old, 20 hours per week, 48 weeks per year, we welcome quotes from organisations who can explicitly detail how they intend to meet the proposed future requirements. The focus of the facility will be for children 2 – 4 years old.
