Alternative Provision Framework

The Council is considering undertaking a procurement exercise to establish an Alternative Provision framework, potentially comprising a number of lots.

To inform the development of its commissioning and procurement approach, the Council is undertaking this preliminary market engagement exercise to understand current market capability, capacity, delivery models and provider views. As part of this exercise the Council is requesting responses to a number of questions detailed at Appendix 1 – Request for Information.

Following review of these responses, the Council will hold a supplier presentation briefing session in order to:

• Further explain the intended procurement exercise and the requirements
• Facilitate discussions around the shaping of the requirements
• Seek provider views on challenges, quality standards, outcomes and KPI requirements

This supplier presentation briefing session will be held via MS TEAMS on 19/01/2027 at 11am with all suppliers wishing to participate in the exercise.

In order to register attendance to the supplier presentation briefing session and provide responses to the questions, please complete and return Appendix 1 and 2 of the Pre-Market Engagement document. The submission deadline is 12:00 noon on 27th November 2026.

For the avoidance of doubt - this is a pre-market engagement exercise in order to gather information from the supply market. This stage is not a tendering exercise.
