Description
[OPERATIONAL > Custody > Detainee Healthcare] Lincolnshire Police is seeking to commission a local provision for healthcare and forensic services in police custody, against a detailed set of technical requirements, service and additional requirements.
The Force has previously operated under both an FME-led model and, subsequently, a forensic nurse-led model, reflecting enhancements in medical training, developments in clinical practice, and changes to national legislation. The Force currently operates a forensic nurse-led model and intends to continue operating in this manner throughout the Contract Term, subject to any future legislative changes, operational requirements, advancements in clinical practice, or innovations in service delivery. Given the anticipated duration of the Contract, the Authority recognises that operational requirements, legislation, healthcare practice, workforce models and technology will evolve during the Contract Term. The Provider will be expected to proactively support service development and continuous improvement to ensure the service remains effective and fit for purpose throughout the life of the Contract.
This is a 10year contract, commencing September 2027. Full details and specification can be found in the tender documents.
