Urgent Award: Adult Male Medium Secure and Adult Male Low Secure

This contract has been awarded by NHS England, on behalf of IMPACT Provider Collaborative, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, under the urgent circumstances provision of the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.

The contract relates to the provision of:

Adult Male Medium Secure Services; Adult Male Low Secure Services.

This contract has been awarded following regulatory action affecting the incumbent provider's ability to continue delivering the services in accordance with contractual requirements. The circumstances created an immediate need to secure continuity of services and maintain safe patient care arrangements.

The contract will run from 15 September 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Estimated lifetime contract value (15 September 2026 to 31 March 2027): £17,010,616

The contract relates to the provision of Specialised Mental Health Adult Male Medium Secure and Adult Male Low Secure services. Patients are liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act and their risk of harm to others and risk of escape from hospital cannot be managed safely within other mental health settings.

This contract has been awarded following regulatory action affecting the incumbent provider's ability to continue delivering the services in accordance with contractual requirements. The circumstances created an immediate need to secure continuity of services and maintain safe patient care arrangements.

A full procurement process could not be undertaken within the timescales required to ensure continuity of service provision. NHS England therefore applied the urgent circumstances provision under Regulation 14 of the Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023.

The contract will run from 15 September 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Estimated lifetime contract value (15 September 2026 to 31 March 2027): £17,010,616.
