Growing Mid Wales Datgloi Project - Specialist Consultancy Services / Prosiect Datgloi Canolbarth Cymru sy'n Tyfu - Gwasanaethau Ymgynghori Arbenigol

Ceredigion County Council, on behalf of the Growing Mid Wales (GMW) Board, is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced consultancy organisation to provide specialist technical services in support of the Datgloi forestry project.

The project builds on previous research exploring the potential role of locally produced green hydrogen in supporting forestry transport, processing and other energy-intensive activities across rural Mid Wales.

The commission will assess the technical, operational, commercial and environmental feasibility of hydrogen-powered machinery, vehicles and associated infrastructure within a rural forestry setting. The appointed supplier will be expected to undertake technical assessments, feasibility studies, stakeholder engagement and option appraisal activities to develop robust evidence-based recommendations.

Bidders will be required to objectively test assumptions and consider alternative or complementary low-carbon solutions where appropriate to ensure recommendations are practical, achievable and deliverable.

The estimated contract value is between £125,000 and £250,000 for the full-term of the contract. The contract award is subject to the approval and availability of grant funding. The Council reserves the right not to award a contract should the required funding not be approved or secured.

Mae Cyngor Sir Ceredigion, ar ran Bwrdd Tyfu Canolbarth Cymru (GMW), yn ceisio penodi sefydliad ymgynghori cymwysedig a phrofiadol i ddarparu gwasanaethau technegol arbenigol i gefnogi prosiect coedwigaeth Datgloi.

Mae'r prosiect yn adeiladu ar ymchwil flaenorol a archwiliodd rôl bosibl hydrogen gwyrdd a gynhyrchir yn lleol wrth gefnogi gweithgareddau trafnidiaeth, prosesu a gweithgareddau eraill sy'n defnyddio llawer o ynni o fewn y sector coedwigaeth ledled ardaloedd gwledig Canolbarth Cymru.

Bydd y comisiwn yn asesu dichonoldeb technegol, gweithredol, masnachol ac amgylcheddol peiriannau, cerbydau a seilwaith cysylltiedig sy'n defnyddio hydrogen mewn cyd-destun coedwigaeth wledig. Disgwylir i'r cyflenwr a benodir gyflawni asesiadau technegol, astudiaethau dichonoldeb, gweithgareddau ymgysylltu â rhanddeiliaid ac arfarnu opsiynau er mwyn datblygu argymhellion cadarn sy'n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth.

Bydd gofyn i dendrwyr brofi rhagdybiaethau mewn modd gwrthrychol ac ystyried atebion carbon isel amgen neu ategol lle bo hynny'n briodol, er mwyn sicrhau bod yr argymhellion a gyflwynir yn ymarferol, yn gyflawnadwy ac yn weithredadwy.

Amcangyfrifir y bydd gwerth y contract rhwng £125,000 a £250,000 ar gyfer cyfnod llawn y contract. Bydd dyfarnu'r contract yn amodol ar gymeradwyaeth ac argaeledd cyllid grant. Mae'r Cyngor yn cadw'r hawl i beidio â dyfarnu contract os na chaiff y cyllid gofynnol ei gymeradwyo neu ei sicrhau.
