COUNCIL HOUSING ELECTRICAL TESTING PROGRAMME 2024-30

The works involve carrying out electrical condition reports to approximately 38,000 domestic dwellings. Any works deemed urgent due to health and safety concerns (category 1 & 2 repairs) should be carried out by the Contractor immediately. The properties are traditionally constructed flats, maisonettes, houses and bungalows located throughout the City of Sheffield.

The majority of properties will be occupied during the progress of the works. Properties will be released to the contractor in batches, each based on an order of work (See Section 5: Preambles). No continuity of work can be guaranteed.

The Contractor shall allow in his rates for any additional costs in relation to out of sequence or uneconomical working methods and disruption due to the aforementioned criteria. Sheffield City Council's intention is to appoint two Contractors simultaneously to complete the works, with a 50/50 allocation of works, i. e.

works to approximately 19,000 properties each during the length of the contract. Sheffield City Council reserve the right to adjust this notional split dependant on performance levels (measured by Key Performance Indicators) being achieved and maintained; see item 1. 8.
