Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services Dynamic Provider List

Nottinghamshire County Council (the “Council”) established a Dynamic Provider List, using a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), of suitably experienced organisations able to provide Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services in Nottinghamshire (excluding Nottingham City).

A DPS is a list of “approved providers”, similar to a framework, but is open for new suppliers to apply to join and there is no limit to the number of suppliers on the list. Providers on the DPS are invited to bid for specific contracts using a “further competition” process and there are no direct awards of work.

Domestic Abuse Safe Accommodation Support Services provide support to adults and children seeking safe accommodation as a result of experiencing/ fleeing from domestic abuse. This includes male survivors as well as female.

All services procured under this DPS will have a common aim to provide comprehensive specialist support services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children residing in domestic abuse safe accommodation. In particular the Services will:

• Ensure the highest degree of safety and security for survivors residing in the accommodation
• Assess and offer individual support to survivors to meet their needs and aid their recovery
• Support survivors to access other services to meet their physical and mental health needs
• Support and encourage survivors to make independent decisions about their lives
• Be responsive to the needs of children and young people, ensuring they receive the right support to deal with the trauma they have endured.
