Award of Contract for Experience Bodmin – Footfall Data/HUQ

Cornwall Council is seeking to appoint a footfall data specialist to monitor and evaluate footfall in Bodmin town from Aug 2025 to July 2027.

Experience Bodmin is looking to establish Bodmin and the surrounding area as a visitor destination, growing visitor numbers year-round. The project team has developed an evaluation plan with a mix of data collection methods, including footfall and movement data analysis to report against its funding targets.

Experience Bodmin is looking to appoint a footfall data specialist to understand the number of people visiting Bodmin town throughout the project period as well as their movement patterns, dwell times and visitor place of origin.

The supplier will also be required to provide historical footfall data for previous seasons (from at least four years ago) to enable the project to set a baseline to compare against.

With capital investment and regeneration as its main catalyst for change, it offers long-lasting tangible benefits to local communities and its residents.

The programme has four strands of work: network-building and skills development, development of the visitor destination and its offer, marketing of the destination and evaluation.

Experience has been awarded funding from Good Growth (Shared Prosperity Fund) for 2025-26, which is match funded by Cornwall Council’s Town Centre Revitalisation Fund in 2026-27.
