Description
Horsham District Council (the Council) invites tenders for the design and build of a Skate Park in Horsham Park. Horsham Skate Park was designed and built in 2001 with a strong input from the local skate and BMX community. The Skate Park saw users travel from all across the County to use its large wooden playground with a variety of features to suit the needs of all the disciplines.
Well attended ‘Jams’ were celebrated and remembered fondly, attracting large crowds from all across the south east over the Skate Park’s initial 10 years. The Skate Park’s current location, in the busy Horsham Park, has seen multiple design layouts over the past 19 years. Today’s design features many large transitions and hips which support a thriving BMX and Scooter scene - and still attracts pro and sponsored riders from these disciplines.
