Description
The service is for a Teledermatology Virtual Triage and Photography Clinics service.
The Provider delivers the service in accordance with national Patient Choice requirements for (2ww) urgent suspected cancer services. Patients are offered a choice of location and day/time for medical photography appointments. The service is part of an integrated care pathway with Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
The service is commissioned at scale to ensure all patients across MSE are treated fairly. Previous model of multiple pathways using teledermatology led to health inequalities across the ICS. This pathway ensures early diagnosis and intervention for skin cancer patients.
The provider is an existing provider, who is currently satisfying the requirements of the existing contract. The provider has been assessed against the criteria specified for this DAP C process:
