This Scheme will cover Active Travel improvements on Shadsworth Road and Haslingden Road, Blackburn, and will encompass the following:
- Removal of kerbed centre islands,
- Alteration to existing zebra crossing
- associated electrical works,
- relocation of a kerbline and widening of the footway,
- footway reconstruction as necessary,
- Alterations to existing AD signage,
- Removal and provision of new footway markings,
- Footway surface course overlay using tarmac materials or slurry seal
- carriageway patching.
