Works contractor for St. Mary’s Central NS SRTS project in Killenaule, Co. Tipperary

The proposed works will involve front of school upgrades at St. Mary’s National School, Killeanaule, Co. Tipperary. As a guide, the project comprises, but is not limited to:

• Three gateway type sign locations for drivers on the southbound approach to the school on the R689, these include speed limit signs, driver feedback signs and school zone signs;
• Two raised crossing locations on the R689, one uncontrolled at the junction to the church carpark and the existing uncontrolled crossing at the shop is to be upgraded to a raised zebra crossing;
• Junction tightening at the entrance to the church car park to improve visibility for drivers exiting the car park;
• Upgrading of the existing footpaths;
• The provision of associated signage and road markings to define gateways and the Front of School Zone;
• The addition of a new bus stop with shelter for the northbound service and the installation of a bus stop pole with bus kerbs for the southbound service; and
• All associated site and ancillary works above and below ground.
