Putting the Spokes Back in the Wheel Project 'Roscommon Town Public Realm Enhancement Scheme'

To carry out public realm improvement works as part of the Roscommon Town “putting the spokes back in the wheel project” which will include but not limited to the the following; • A new linear park and cycleways along Circular Road /N61 from the Lanesboro Street roundabout to the Athlone Road roundabout with additional controlled and uncontrolled crossing points, • Demolition of the existing Library store building off Circular Road and redevelopment of the parking area adjacent to Roscommon Arts Centre • Improved pedestrian connectivity from the N61 through the Car park at Tesco to Main Street • Public realm and cycleway improvement works on Athlone Road and Brogans Lane • Public realm and cycleway improvement works on Goff Street from Church Street to the N63 Junction • Public realm improvement works on church street from the junction with Goff Street to Abbey Street. • Public Realm improvement works on Henry Street Further details will be provided at stage 2.
